i know you can buy it at pdostore.com, but i was wondering if stores like Best Buy, Target, Wal-mart, Circuit City sell this case for the ipod touch second generation.

Those places do sell cases for the Touch, I believe my friend got one from Circuit city that is a thin rubberish skin. I don’t know if it was silicone as rubber and silicone can both be soft or hard cases. They do sell third party though. Apple Stores sell inCase and some others. I liked the one I got from there… it just covered the back and the sides. it was nice till some cops stole it.

# Untitled Second [Bomp!] $15.98 The Telescopes began as a run-of-the-mill British shoegazer band fully under the thrall of noise and My Bloody Valentine, perhaps a little angrier than most of that ilk but pretty unmemorable. At some point, however, they discovered subtlety and songcraft. They traded in most of their noise pedals for some that make the guitars go all spacy and phased-out. They also wrote a batch of songs with melodies and hooks reminiscent of Love or The Notorious Byrd Brothers-era Byrds. The songs on The Telescopes are built on acoustic guitars, then the aforementioned tricked-out electric guitars are laid on top and garnished with bongos, organs, pianos, and all sorts of classic instruments. Stephen Lawrie’s vocals are restrained and semi-emotional and female backing vocals add a touch of sweetness that might otherwise be missing from the record, as the overall atmosphere is very moody and introspective. A large chunk of the credit should be given to producer Guy Fixsen, who also helmed some great records with Moose and Rollerskate Skinny and was a member of Laika. Sadly, the Telescopes split soon after this album came out, but the classic sound they came up with here lives on in bands like Mojave 3 and the Verve. [In 2008 Bomp! reissued the album under the title # Untitled Second, something Rev-Ola had done in 2004. That previous edition included two bonus tracks ("Dnaanb" and "Tornado") and a new cover. The Bomp! version keeps the same cover but adds three different bonus tracks: the EP version of "High on Fire," a sitar-led version of "The Sleepwalk" and non-LP track "Sunspray". A song like “Saro,” with its truly lovely arrangement and Amidon’s stellar performance, however inevitably his vocal style suggests but does not replicate Nick Drake’s, is justification for its release as it stands. However, there’s a calm drive at the heart of many of his songs that shows why he’s been affiliated with the world of low-key dance experiments as much as anything else, as songs like “Sugar Baby” show. “Little Johnny Brown” is one of the apotheoses of this album’s approach, with a variety of sympathetic guests, including Ben Frost on programming and Eyvind Kang on murky viola shading, creating a counterbalance between folk roots and something starkly modern that resembles a slightly more smooth Long Fin Killie, tense and mysterious. Meanwhile, “Wedding Dress” is as sweet a straightforward amble as it could be, Amidon’s banjo playing as notable as his guitar work, while “O Death,” if even more straightforward in terms his singing, has its melody played like a minimal mantra, heavily echoed and moved forward in the mix, a contrast that makes Amidon sound like he’s almost singing through the instruments.
