Media Player Classic is a super Light Weight peice of software that is well known and widely used as a universal media platform. Media Player Classic’s design is nearly the same as the classic Windows Media Player version 6.4, but it’s feature list is dozens of times longer! This player will handle all of your home theater needs!

 

Unlike other media players, Media Player Classic comes with it’s own codecs! All the codecs required to utilize dozens of formats are built right into this light weight program, aside from the 64-bit versions. Media Player Classic 64 bit will use some of the operating system’s built in codecs but if none are available, then the format is not supported. MPEG and any RealPlayer formats are an example of formats incompatible with Media Player Classic 64 bit.

 

Media Player Classic also supports any type of subtitles. Wether the subtitles arre built into the video file or come in a separate file, Media Player Classic knows how to display them! There are even many parameters you can set to customize the way your subtitles show up in the video!

 

Media Player Classic Home Cinema also supports 64 bit operating systems. Because of the differences in .dlls in 32 nd 64 bit platforms, some codecs are not playable via the media player’s codecs. Some functionality is reduced when played on a 64 bit platform, but I myself have not run into any issues thus far.

 

The other neat thing about the download for Media Player Classic is that it’s totally free! There are no charges, no pro versions, and no trials. The software is public and free to share. Do not ever pay a penny to download Media player classic when you can download Media Player Classic free!
